How do I survive the silly season?
Picture this.
For the last few months, you’ve been going really well with your health and fitness.
You’ve been sticking to a meal plan.
You’ve been exercising consistently.
You’ve been feeling better and better about yourself.
And then, BAM!
December 1st hits.
Christmas month.
That meal plan you were sticking to so well has started to incorporate some extra treats here and there – a gingerbread man, a candy cane, a bite of this and that – “it won’t hurt, right?”
Those exercise sessions you were making each week are a little more sporadic; I mean, who wants to exercise with a raging hangover after yet another Christmas party?
Slowly, across the course of the month, you start to beat yourself up and feel guilty for stalling your progress.
And you aim to start again on January 1st – new year, new you, right?
Sound familiar?
We’ve all been there, I’m sure.
This time of year is synonymous with indulgences and parties.
And that’s absolutely ok, if that’s what you want to do!
