Cravings.nWe all get them in one way or another.nFrom “I kinda feel like the taste of something” to “I gotta have that right now!” – cravings can hit at any time, especially when we’re tired, hungry or emotional. So if your goal is to eat healthily, but you’re finding yourself being swayed off course by cravings, read on for a few simple strategies you can implement that may help! 1. Don’t deprive yourself. Having a little bit of something from time to time is better than having nothing and then bingeing! For example, I enjoy a little bit of dark chocolate every night, which keeps the chocolate cravings at bay. 2. Drink herbal teas. If your cravings are generally for something sweet, having herbal teas on hand can be really handy. Anything with fruits infused are great.n3. Eat a wide variety of foods. Having plenty of different foods in your diet will ensure that you don’t get bored with the same old flavours, and go looking elsewhere for something tasty. Incorporate lots of herbs and spices into your meals where you can for extra flavour. 4. Make the best choice you can. Craving chocolate? For example, go for dark chocolate (70{8964c77004c80ceb7a483a88d57a7a9902025e52f9fec2df9408e739e584e0eb} cocoa or higher is best). It’s better for you than milk/white chocolate. Or feel like carbs? Opt for plant-based carbohydrates, like potatoes, sweet potatoes and bananas. The less processed, the better. 5. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s ok to treat yourself every now and then, it’s ok.
