How to beat the Easter weight gain in 3 easy steps!

The Easter bunny is nearly here and that means being surrounded by chocolate and hot cross buns. Tough to resist if you enjoy the odd sweet treat or two! Even if you’re not tempted to indulge in some Easter goodies, often the people around us aren’t so supportive of our choices. I mean, have you ever been to a family gathering where you’ve been pressured to eat what everyone else is eating? So, if you’d like to stay on track with your good quality, MP eating this Easter long weekend, here’s some simple strategies to help you: 1. Remind yourself of your why! Why is it so important for you to achieve your body transformation goals? Is it to be a better parent to your kids, to set an example, to save your life? Remind yourself of your reason why and if it’s strong enough, you’ll find it easy to say “no” to those Easter treats. 2. Share your goals with someone you can trust. It may be a friend, family member, trainer, or gym buddy. Whoever it is for you, sharing your goal and how important it is for you to achieve it with them, will help to solidify your resolve. I know whenever I feel like I need some extra strength, I can call on my awesome husband or girlfriends to help out. Our support network can be a huge factor in how well we achieve our goals. 3. Relax a little…. Think back to when you were a teenager and your parents told you that you couldn’t do something. Did it make you want to do it more? Yep! The same thing goes for food. I know I’ve put tonnes of pressure on myself in the past to be 100{7df2fa278681574f8ee76c89e5b6d0450e46b07d023c695a72a7083fc9167d1f} MP perfect with my meals, however it always backfired. I felt like I was missing out, so would then binge on chocolate. I now know that I can have a little in moderation and it’s not going to kill me. In fact, it’s probably healthier for me to have just a little of everything rather than over-indulging on one thing. So this Easter, go easy on yourself. If you feel like you can have a little treat without going overboard, then enjoy it, and remember that your reason WHY and your support network are there to help. Happy Easter!
