+ Kids Movement Sessions

Kids have a natural ability to move freely and be playful! They have the potential to be flexible, mobile and use their imagination in the most amazing ways! Our kids have grown up in a gym environment, and we feel very fortunate that they’ve been exposed to exercise, stretching and a holistic, healthy way of living. And after training grown ups in the New Farm area for 11 years, we want to share the benefits with your children, too!

Here’s what’s included in the Kids Movement Sessions:

  • Easy to follow, fun sessions that are full of laughter and play
  • Activities designed to help them with balance hand/eye co-ordination
  • Exercises to nurture fitness and cardiovascular health
  • Imaginative, play-based activities to encourage exploration and self confidence
  • Led by a full qualified PE teacher, with loads of experience, as well as a genuine love, of working with kids.

Meet our Kids Coach, Steve!

Originally from England, Steve moved to Australia at 7 years years of age and immediately fell in love with the outdoor Aussie way of life. Whether it’s surfing, swimming or playing rugby league, Steve has always been an active person. 

This love of movement led him to study Health and Physical Education at the University of Newcastle and then going to work as a PE teacher in both secondary and primary school systems over the course of 5 years. It was during this time that Steve found his passion for working with primary school aged kids. 

Steve believes in creating a fun, judgement free environment, where kids can express themselves fully. He is a positive role model for kids by demonstrating what is possible through dedication and practice. Through his own further studies of movement training, Steve has developed his own skills, which include 6 ball juggling and freestanding handstands. 

Through observing Steve with our own children and the kids of some of our dearest friends, we can think of no-one better to lead these sessions for your child.

  •  
    • Term 2 sessions start w/b Monday 8th April 2022.
    • The program is a 10 week block – final week of sessions is w/b Monday 20th June. 
    • Sessions are held at both New Farm Park in New Farm and John Scott Park in Samford
    • A maximum of 6 kids in each class.
    • Choose from 2 sessions per week or unlimited access at an affordable price. 
    • All sessions led by Steve, a qualified PE teacher with a blue card and thorough knowledge of age appropriate skills and outcomes for your child.
    • $24 for 2 sessions and $34 for unlimited sessions per week!
