Meal prepping. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know it’s something I love to do! Basically, a couple of times a week, I “shop n chop,” ie I shop and then on the same day, I chop and cook up all of our main meals for the next 3-4 days. It takes a couple of hours, but it’s so worth it! (No more scrambling to make dinner at witching hour)! Anyway, this week I wanted to give you an insight into what our fridge looks like when the cook up is complete. This weeks cooking took about 1.5 hours. So, what do my kids do while I cook up?nWell, on this particular day, my 3 year old played on her own for a bit, then watched her afternoon tv shows. My 8 month old slept for 30 minutes, then spent the next hour in his high chair chewing away on food and babbling to me. I realise that your kids may not be up for that much time spent doing something that doesn’t involve them, and there are certainly days when I have to break up the food prep over a couple of sessions because I am being called to play or cuddle, etc etc. But I do the best I can! That’s all we can do, right?nSo here’s my hubby giving you an insight into what’s in our fridge this week! Enjoy!
