Transformation Tip: The cost of change
There are so many great things that happen as a result of a transformation, whether that be physical, mental or emotional.
More confidence.
Increased fitness levels.
A healthier body.
More energy.
Lower stress levels.
You get the picture!
But while there are so many amazing outcomes, sometimes we can experience some negativity from the people around us.
Watch this week’s video to find out why…
Have you experienced something like this? Let me know!
Transformation Tip: I was only 12
I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was only 12 years old.
It was a moment that changed the course of my life forever.
The guy my mum was dating at the time offered me some marijuana and I tried it.
Fast forward a year, and I was regularly using. Pretty much everyday, in fact.
My daily drug use then continued until my early twenties.
Although I probably knew that it wasn’t the best thing for me, why would I or why should I stop when everyone around me was doing it? Members of my family, my friends…. Most of my circle of influence was using drugs in some way.
So it became my normal.
And that’s just one example of the power of our circle of influence.
Transformation Tip: Ironing out where I failed in the past
This week’s Transformation Tip features me, an iron, a water leak and an essential lesson when it comes to body transformation…
Transformation Tip: I’ve been sleeping with someone…
I have a little secret.
A confession.
I’ve been sleeping with someone.
And it’s been amazing!
I’m incredibly fulfilled and my days are so much richer!
It just feels so good.
And I can’t wait to talk about it this week with you…
Transformation Tip: A question of hydration
Man, it’s been so hot, hasn’t it?!
If you’re lucky enough to have a pool or air conditioning, then you would have been able to escape it for a while, but as soon as you’re out of that pool or you step outside, the heat just hits you hard!
So with all of this hot weather around, staying hydrated becomes a little more challenging. But, it’s still just as important as ever – if not more so!
This week, I received a great question from one of our subscribers, all about how much water we need to drink to stay hydrated.
I’ll be chatting about that in this week’s videos, as well as some other fun facts about why water is so important for us!
Transformation Tip: You are what you drink
Picture this.
You’re eating well, exercising most days and getting lots of sleep.
You feel great, your energy levels are through the roof and you’re healthy.
You go to your training session to get measured by your trainer, and you’re feeling really positive.
But when your trainer gives you your results, your heart sinks.
Nothing has shifted.
How can this happen?!
All that hard work and nothing?
Well, we all know how important the quality of our food choices are when it comes to losing body fat.
But how about what you DRINK?
Did you know that there are over 160 calories in a can of coke?
And what about those oversized, sugary, flavoured coffees from places like Starbucks or Gloria Jeans?
There are so many hidden calories in what we drink, so this week, I want to give you some healthy alternatives, that still have lots of flavour, but without the added calories and sugar!
Transformation Tip: How to relieve stress
Tears.
Yelling.
Arguing.
Throwing things.
This is life with a cranky 2 year old!
Our usually placid, calm, charming daughter, Isabella, has been in the midst of the terrible twos lately and WOW! It’s been tough for everyone involved.
You think she’s OK and then all of a sudden something will tip her over the edge.
And then she turns into a mini-cyclone!
As a parent, it’s so hard to see your little one experiencing so much emotion, and we’ve tried lots of different things to help her to calm down.
So far, only one thing has worked. And it’s something that us adults can also use in times of stress, high emotion or when we’re feeling out of control.
Transformation Tip: The Big Detox!
Like most of us, you probably ate a bit over the last week or so…
And like many of us, you may be feeling like you need to detox a little!
You may have heard about some detox methods – juices, teas, smoothies, the lemon detox, etc.
All of them include cutting out major food groups that bring important nutrients into your body; which is probably exactly what you need at this particular time!
So rather than depriving your body of nutrients, or cutting out major food groups in order to get back on track, how about trying a different, much more simple, detox this year?
Transformation Tip: Survive the silly season (and still have fun!)
If you’re trying to lose weight, Christmas/New Year can be a tricky time of year.
Mince pies, shortbread, turkey, copious amounts of alcohol, and so much more. It’s pretty dangerous territory!
So this week, I wanted to keep it short and sweet and share just 3 easy tips for surviving the silly season – without the guilt!
