3 tips for making food prep easy!
No doubt about it, there’s so many benefits to meal prepping!
You save money by only buying what you need.
You save time by having a recipe and ingredient list sorted well in advance of tackling the supermarket shelves.
You also save time throughout the week cooking by getting it all done in one go.
Plus, you give yourself the best chance possible of sticking to your healthy meal plan because you have nutritious, delicious meals at your fingertips!
But we’re all busy, so this week I wanted to share a few tips for streamlining your meal prepping even further.
3 easy tips to make your prep time go even faster – check it out!
Why New Years resolutions suck… And what we do instead!
Happy New Year!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year period, and you’re off and racing for 2019!
We had an awesome holiday at Cabarita Beach…. Swimming, fishing, eating, napping, and a whole heap of quality family time – doesn’t get much better than that!
Our first Transformation Tip of the year is all about New Year’s resolutions, and why we don’t really like them.
And while we still set goals for business and personal areas of life, we don’t set “resolutions” as such.
Instead, we focus on setting a different type of intention; one that can be applied across all areas of life and provide more flexibility in this busy world of ours!
Enjoy!
Work/life balance – does it exist?
This week, we decided to mix things up a bit with our Transformation Tip.
We wanted to hear more from our audience about what they wanted – did they want to learn about food? Exercise? Mindset? Sleep? Motivation?
All of the above?!
So to find out, we did a live Q and A – and we got a couple of great questions!
Question 1: What’s your top tip for balancing life and work and family, while finding time for each other? (2 min 30 sec)
Question 2: How important do you think it is that partners are on the same page when it comes to health and fitness? (5 min 35 sec)
2 awesome questions – thanks for contributing, team!
So if you have a burning question about anything health/fitness/lifestyle related, we’d love to hear from you!
Just comment below, and we will do our best to answer it next week.
How do I survive the silly season?
Picture this.
For the last few months, you’ve been going really well with your health and fitness.
You’ve been sticking to a meal plan.
You’ve been exercising consistently.
You’ve been feeling better and better about yourself.
And then, BAM!
December 1st hits.
Christmas month.

That meal plan you were sticking to so well has started to incorporate some extra treats here and there – a gingerbread man, a candy cane, a bite of this and that – “it won’t hurt, right?”
Those exercise sessions you were making each week are a little more sporadic; I mean, who wants to exercise with a raging hangover after yet another Christmas party?
Slowly, across the course of the month, you start to beat yourself up and feel guilty for stalling your progress.
And you aim to start again on January 1st – new year, new you, right?
Sound familiar?
We’ve all been there, I’m sure.
This time of year is synonymous with indulgences and parties.
And that’s absolutely ok, if that’s what you want to do!
If you’d like to relax and enjoy yourself, but still have a bit of balance in your life over the festive season, watch this week’s video!
We share 3 simple tips (plus 1 bonus tip) to make Christmas time enjoyable and guilt-free!
What exercises can I do at home?
Sometimes, it can be challenging to get to the gym – especially when you have a baby or small child in your care!
But that doesn’t mean that your goals have to be out of reach.
There’s plenty of things you can do in the comfort of your own home, and this week, we have 3 simple exercises for you.
These exercises are low impact, and perfect for new mums wanting to rebuild strength and tone safely, or for anyone wanting to take pressure off their joints and strengthen the major muscles in the body.

Why we sleep
Ahhh, sleep.
I love sleep.
I value it so much these days that it’s hard to believe I used to do so little of it!
Back in my younger days, I’d go days without it, partying the weekends away, week after week, month after month.
It’s a wonder that I was able to keep doing my job and play footy!
I place a lot more importance on the amount and quality of sleep I get these days.

Why?
Because it’s so good for us!
This week’s Transformation Tip is all about why we sleep, and it’s inspired by the book I’m reading of the same name at the moment.
For me, sleep is of the utmost importance. For Rach, it’s not as high a priority.
Watch this week’s video for our discussion of all things sleep!
How do you fit it all in?
Rach and I have been asked this question a bit over the past couple of months – “How do you fit it all in?”
We work with a lot of parents, who are juggling kids, work, staying fit, being social, eating well, etc etc.
We’re no different, and we completely agree – it’s really hard to keep on top of everything all at once!
In this week’s Transformation Tip, we wanted to share a few truths with you about how we go about things.
Hopefully our simple ideas can be of use to you, because there’s nothing worse than the constant feeling of always being behind where you should be!
(And despite how cranky we look in the video still below, we are actually very excited to be bringing you this Tip this week!)
Rain zapped your energy? Here’s how to get back on track!
If you live in Brissy, there’s no doubt you’ve been indoors a lot over the past week or so.
It’s been raining so much!
And if you’re used to being outdoors a lot, or you have little kids at home with you, you may be going a little bit stir crazy.
If you are feeling a bit out of sorts, and it’s affecting your eating/exercise/sleeping/hydration habits, this week’s Transformation Tip is for you.
We have 3 simple ways to shake off the funk and get back on track. Enjoy, and stay dry!
I was out of my comfort zone
I had to laugh.
(Actually, Rachael did most of the laughing, as you’ll see).
We were midway through this week’s Transformation Tip, and all of a sudden, different filters started appearing on our faces in the video, without us doing anything!
It was like my Facebook account was hacked or something?!

And I just found the whole thing really ironic.
Talking on a live video isn’t always comfortable, and there’s definitely been times where we’ve had to push ourselves out of our comfort zones to talk about certain topics.
And there we were in the middle of talking about comfort zones, and all of these crazy things started popping up on our faces, as if to say, “Here’s something to really make you feel uncomfortable!”
So, if you want to have a giggle, give this week’s video a watch.
Oh, and we also share 3 strategies for managing the stress associated with getting out of our comfort zones, too!
